Using your project portal

Your builder runs your project on Navanto, and the portal is your view of it: the progress, the drawings and documents, the contract, and the decisions that are yours to make.

Signing in

Your invitation email contains a temporary password and a Sign In button. Sign in with your email address and the temporary password, and you will be asked to set a password of your own.

The temporary password lasts 7 days. If it has expired, or you cannot find the email, ask your builder to re-send the invitation; each new invitation replaces the previous password, so always use the newest email.

Finding your way around

• My Project: the project’s details and milestones, and an activity feed you and your builder’s team can post to.
• Site Updates: a weekly update on what happened on site, with photos, written for you.
• Drawings: the approved drawings for your project.
• Files: the documents your builder has shared with you.
• Calendar: dates your builder has marked for you.
• Snagging: once the build reaches snagging, the list of items being put right.
• Contract: your agreed contract items, any variations, and your selections.
• Settings, reached by clicking your name at the bottom of the sidebar: your details, password, notification preferences and your data export.

You are emailed when a site update is first sent to you. Your builder can correct one, or take one down, after sending; the portal always shows the current state.

Deciding a variation

A variation is a priced change to the agreed work. When one is sent to you it appears under Contract with Approve and Reject, and you can add a comment with your decision.

Your decision is recorded with your name and the date. An approval is final; after a rejection, your builder can revise the variation and send it back for a fresh decision. A variation can also be withdrawn before you decide.

One listed as awaiting price is still being prepared; there is nothing for you to do yet.

Making your selections

A selection is a set of choices your builder needs from you, such as fittings and finishes, with a deadline shown where your builder has set one. You work through it one category at a time, choosing an option for each item; every choice saves as you click it, so you can return to it whenever you like.

Submit & sign off is the last step, once everything is chosen. It shows you the total before you confirm.

Signing off is final: your choices are locked and go onto your contract. Check the review step carefully first.

Decisions made with your builder directly

If you give your builder an answer in person or by phone, they can record it for you: a variation decision, or a selection sign-off. Either always appears on your portal marked as made on your behalf, with the name of the person who recorded it and the date. Your builder’s team can also set selection choices with you as you go; it is the attributed sign-off that locks them.

When the project finishes

Once the project is complete, the portal shows the date your access will end, and up to then everything stays readable. Export your data in Settings is available throughout the project and gives you a copy to keep of everything the portal shows you: a report covering your project, its milestones, your site updates with their photos, the snagging list, your contract with any variations and selections, plus the approved drawings, invoices and the files shared with you; download it before your access ends.
