Changelog

Role permissions across the whole app, a complete portal export, and docs for every feature

  • Roles now cover every feature, not just Forecasts. A role either has a feature enabled or hidden, and hidden means gone everywhere — off the sidebar, out of the dashboard, out of NavantoAI’s reach, and refused by the API. Fourteen features in all: suppliers and products are now one Procurement feature, the client portal is a single grant, and Projects stays on for everyone as the fabric of the app. Nothing changes until you change it — every existing role starts with everything enabled, and Admin is permanently all-on. A new Site role that sees site updates only ships ready to use.
  • Anything that reaches your client needs the Client portal permission. On top of the owning feature, a role must have Client portal to send a client update, send or revoke a variation, send a selection or edit one the client is choosing from, post to the client feed, or create a client-visible calendar event. The site diary, drafts and team-only events stay fully usable without it. Standard roles already include Client portal, so nothing changes unless an admin has deliberately unticked it.
  • The portal export now contains everything the client can see. A client’s Export your data zip previously stopped at the project overview, portal posts, events, approved drawings and their Client Portal folder. The report now also covers milestones, site updates with their photos, snagging, contract items and stage payments, variations with the decision recorded against them, and selections with the options they chose — and invoice attachments join the zip.
  • NavantoAI can read the activity feed. Ask what happened on a project this week, or who changed a record and when, and the assistant now answers from the activity history rather than only from the current state. It sees exactly what your role does, filtered record by record.
  • The documentation now covers every feature. navanto.co.uk/docs gains guides to tasks and templates, the calendar, the timeline, posts, snagging and files, plus one page gathering the portal-visibility rules in one place for when a client can’t see something. NavantoAI answers from the new pages too.
